Get to Know Our Company

In 2001 Nirupama Hukku started FiTA with a one-point agenda: to provide soft skills training to Indian corporate executives which would make them complete professionals.

Since then the company has grown from strength to strength, widening its scope of work and reaching out to a wide range of industries.

By 2003, FiTA had introduced nomination programs to provide companies an external forum for its employees. Nomination programs also helped smaller companies with fewer employees to access the learning at a more cost-effective platform.

By 2007, FiTA had on board a senior journalist and made a deep foray into language-based training modules and content development. FiTA produces content today that ranges from curriculum preparation for ITES and financial corporations to websites, media-ready articles and brochures.

From 2009 FiTA has added personal coaching and mentoring services too for executives at all levels, delivered by an ICF certified coach. It has an impressive roster of success stories in this space.

FiTA’s proprietary programs draw from the experience of professionals from various fields like education, journalism, and information technology. More than 60 man years of experience have gone into designing them. They are realistic and experiential in approach. They are rich in terms of situation analysis, case studies and discussions, keeping required theoretical information as a backdrop.

Soft-skills development enhances productivity and contribution to the company’s profits. It makes a regular employee an extraordinary contributor. FiTA programs are founded on this thought. It therefore has programs for senior, mid-level and junior executives, which are designed for long-lasting improvement and change.

FiTA workshops focus on
-helping the participant to identify need for change
-helping him to identify areas where change is required
– working along with him to formulate the solution and the way forwards

It believes in holistic development and the well-rounded professional personality.

Charubala Annuncio

Head - Training & Content

“The only goal can be to better one’s best, one step at a time.”

  • A first-class post-graduate in English Literature from Bombay University, Charubala spent fifteen years as a full-time journalist in leading, mainstream publications- OUTLOOK, Hindustan Times, A & M. Here she interviewed several CEOs, business conglomerate owners and eminent personalities, spanning across industries and all walks of life.

Charubala has been among the earliest Chevening scholars under the Chevening scholarship program offered to outstanding journalists by the Foreign & Commonwealth office of the UK government. She has since then received other awards and accolades including one for Woman of Courage. Her work has been used as research material in several books and is archived in the libraries of the Yale Centre for the Study of Globalisation and IIM Calcutta.

Teaching and training remained serious interests throughout until four years back when she took the proverbial plunge to go full-time down this road.
Language development is an area close to Charubala’s heart. She has, over the years, developed English language programs to suit the varying needs of technically competent people. Be it for scientists and researchers in the pharmaceutical industry, lawyers catering to American clients for back office operations or technical people in the paint industry – Charubala designs each of these to suit the industry need. Given her experience in a wide range of industries she uses industry and role specific language and phraseology in the programs. These programs incorporate not only the four language skills of speaking, reading, writing and listening but also focus on presentation skills and confidence building. She is a British Council certified language trainer (IELTS)

A Diploma holder from Alliance Francaise Charubala also enjoys teaching basic French. She has developed the comprehensive Media Training package where she has distilled her career’s experiences. The programme hence is dotted liberally with innumerable real examples; personal anecdotes and experiences where she can take you through the journey and point out the pitfalls and traps in the media landscape.

Her strength as a trainer lies in the fact that she is able to immediately tune into people and make them comfortable. She reflects FiTA’s philosophy of de-mystifying theories and presenting them in forms to participants that endear rather than create awe and fear. Her programs invite participation and encourage people to find their own solutions which empower them. She believes that a trainer’s job is to make people think in a particular direction and build their own success stories.

Charubala essays to practice what she preaches. She is constantly working at bettering her modules and creating packages that cut out the waste and deliver more than what was expected.

We at FiTA feel proud and privileged to have her as our Head-Training and Content
